Religion
2

Religion is one of the topics which I have extensively read about and discussed on since the earlier years of my secondary school life. If I have to be classified, I am basically atheist, or maybe a bit skeptist. In my social circle, I am among the few who seriously resist the ideas of god, creation, supernaturals and religions in general.

Undoubtedly one has to admit that such discussions rarely change believers’ mind. After all, faith is often stronger than reason. As I grew up, I realized that religion is more of a social phenomenon rather than a matter of truth – even though being true is a fundamental claim by religions.

If we are not going to judge on the truth of religions, they are indeed truly interesting! Religion and culture are very often intertwined, understanding the religions of the world opens the window for looking into the world’s cultures. The ideas and mythologies of different religions are also an interesting topic to learn about. Understanding religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam helps us understand the world as we see it today.

I hope I will be able to write a bit to introduce some interesting religions in the future. But for the time being, here are some old articles which I have collected on the discussion of Christianity.
